Alfagrog is produced exclusively in Staffordshire and is already sold throughout the UK and worldwide. Alfagrog is a porous foamed ceramic material, which is lightweight, strong and inert. Its high surface area makes it the natural choice for colonisation by micro-organisms in biological filtration systems resulting in cleaner water.

We would also like to introduce you to our Alfacoral product. This is similar to Alfagrog but fired at a higher temperature to produce attractive colours and appearance.

The extraction of live rock and coral is causing extensive environmental problems in oceans around the world. Large-scale removal of live rock and coral can destroy habitat for fish and marine invertebrates, can undermine the structure of coral reefs, and can lead to increased underwater erosion. Alfacoral is the responsible alternative to alleviate this damaging practice.
